Bowed Down No More

Psalm 146:8

"The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind; the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down"

Are you bowed down? Then let this promise be of comfort to you. Here the Lord promises to raise up them who are bowed down. Is it a sense of sin and condemnation that distresses you? The Comforter has undertaken to console; he who died for you payed the price in full. When He hung on that cross He had you and me in mind. O wonderful deliverance divine from the precious blood that was spilled.

Is it a great fall in circumstances that brings you to sad bereavement? The saviour is on the throne with plenty of mercy to spare. Jesus, the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow will raise you up causing you to stand on your feet once more. He really wants to do this for you and me. If He gave His life unto death, how much more will He raise those up who are bowed down. We need only to pray, Father you raised us up before, raise us up today for we are bowed down, raise us up again.
